IRD VN
— End AIDS by 2030
As of 2023, approximately 225,000 people in Vietnam are living with HIV, with nearly 175,000 receiving antiretroviral therapy. However, challenges remain as over 12.800 new infections emerge each year, especially in regions like the Mekong Delta and Southeast, where prevalence is highest. With the Vietnamese government’s National Strategy to End AIDS by 2030, IRD VN is intensifying efforts to align with Vietnam’s 95-95-95 targets. Our programs aim to enhance client access and utilization of health services by continuously improving quality management.
Through expanded monitoring, we bolster client tracking and optimize the data lifecycle at both national and local levels. Additionally, we assess the effectiveness of new tuberculosis diagnostic measures, employing innovative screening tests for TB symptoms among patients undergoing HIV treatment. In collaboration with local and international stakeholders, IRD VN remains dedicated to reducing HIV-related stigma, maintaining seamless access to essential health services, and contributing to Vietnam’s vision of an AIDS-free future.
